The traveling has caught up with me. Today I just sat around and welcomed visitors between naps.
Both activities were enjoyable!
I got up from one nap just as a family was leaving. They dropped by to say, “Welcome”, and stayed into the evening.
While we were “chatting”, Isaac interpreted for us, there was a disturbance in the tree just ahead of me.
The branches were bending and swinging. It appeared that were had about 20 bats with a wingspan of over 12
inches feeding on some unripe berries. Fascinating!
After they left Isaac and I went to a “phone centre” – sophisticated name for a stall beside the highway -
and I called Judy. Though we had a connection it left a little to be desired. With the buzzing on the line and the buses
going by it was difficult to hear. But we managed.
Isabella is trying to make me into a “plumpkin”. She serves wonderful meals with fascinating flavours. I can’t wait
to get home and let Judy share them. We went to bed early because we were to get up at 4:00 am to head out to the tsunami area.
